Today at Opal's lunch we celebrated Frank & Muriel's 75th wedding Anniversary. The couple shared the card they had received from The King & Queen. Frank is a former Trustee of BCA, and the couple have been attending the Bierley Community Centre for 30yrs. We are honoured to be part of their 75th wedding Anniversary celebration.
Our OPAL group are elderly/retired men and woman, that meet up once a fortnight on a Wednesday. We have group outing to various places, we sure do get out and about! Our OPALS also have a shopping day and do exercising every Thursday afternoon from 1.30pm-2.30pm, Once a month we miss our OPAL exercising and have a treat day, with coffee/tea and a cheeky cake. Every Friday morning, we hold a reminiscing session 11am- 12pm.Our OPALS love to reminisce about the good old days/friends and family. Friday afternoons our OPALS have a community lunch 12.15pm-2.30pm, which usually consist of a two course lunch, and a get together. After lunch we have games/entertainment and craft activities, enjoyed by all.
